Petersbos ..or rather "Petershuttenbos" if you can manage a little more Dutch. It is to big to walk in one week and it should be fairly easy to get lost there, so we're doing it bit by bit, getting to know the pathways and keeping track of the direction we're walking. For sure we're going to take our visitors here. You want to walk in the woods ? |

| Het Slangebos A free translation of "Slangenburch", and old forrest that has been cultivated around the castle Slangenburch near Doetinchem. You can walk all around it in two days, if you do not walk slowly. It is especially nice in winter and when feeding the dear. |

| Het Sprookjesbos The forrest of fairytales and little pathways... it's on the way to Ruurlo, the next village. When it's hot and humid it's not a nice place to be because of all the swamp flies and musqieto's but when it's cooler wheather, like today, it's quiet and pretty. |

| Het "Halmac - Motorbos" We pass by it when we've been to Zelhem, so it is very convenient for us and the dogs. It is a professional motor racetrack and it is situated in a beautiful piece of forest. The dogs just love to go there..! | ![]() |

Het Kabouter Bos You may translate that as "Leprechaun Forest" or "Gnome Mountain" for all I care. To Holy Smoke and his clan it's known as the Kabouter Bos and they know exactly where that is. It is a big stretch of forest but we always walk just a small route between the parking and the pancake restaurant. Ofcourse, we walk that distance twice... |

Winter in Petersbos Todat, November 29, 2005, we took a stroll through the biggest stretch of forrest we have around us here, enjoying the snow and each other's company. |
