Little Holy Smoke is sure to steal the show wherever we go. He'll be three years and a couple of months when we start our U.S. adventures.
In my heart there will always be the sweet memory of Beau, a once in a lifetime dog. Even in death he's still my best friend. |

A man is sitting in a bar far from home when President Bush comes on TV. The man looks at the TV and says, "Bush is a horse's ass." Out of nowhere, a local jumps up and punches him in the face, knocking the first guy off his barstool, then stomps out. The man gets back up, rubbing his cheek and orders another beer. Shortly after, Misses Bush appears on the TV. He looks at the TV and says, "She is a horse's ass too!" Out of nowhere, another local punches him in the other side of the face, knocking him off his barstool again. He gets back up and looks at the bartender, "I take it this is Bush country?" "Nope." Replies the bartender. "This is Wyoming.., Horse Country."

Pets in Europe He deserves his own table ... Meet Primus Here's the story of Primus. We were driving through the northern region of the Belgium Ardennes, just leaving a little town where we had coffee and on our way to see some stables where we could ride out on Rocky Mountain Horses... And there in the middle of the street was this little kitten, obviously looking for a home. He was so friendly and tried to make friends with everybody he met. He'd been walking next to a woman who was out there with her little grandson, but when he saw our car approaching he decided to go for the people with the wheels. When I stopped the car and got out, first to ask what that little kitten was doing in the middle of the road... he walked under the car. When I called for him he came to me and immediately jumped into my arms. The woman said she didn't know where he came from and I decided to go and ask the people who lived in the only house there, near the first bend in the road. The little kitten did not object to a ride with us and when we came at the house, another old lady hung out the window and told us the whole nest of kittens had been dumped in her backyard a while ago. This was the only kitten that stayed, still enjoying whatever food she gave it and trying everyday to hitch a ride with the mailman. It wasn't hard to decide there and then we would take the kitten with us, to find it a nice home, because we knew we couldn't and wouldn't take a cat with us when leaving for the U.S... Hans and Alexandra, the people we were staying with, felt for him as soon as they layed eyes on him. He's become the big friend of their dog Anouk and little son Werner and clearly enjoys his life on the camping Pont de Deulin. Look how big and strong he is now !! |

Holy Smoke. Every now and then he has to pick out a new bear from the shelve. Sometimes he runs into them in a gaz station, or in a supermarket. Sometimes I pick one out for him, when he has been especially nice that day in the forrest. |
| Didi is a good friend of Holy Smoke too. He is real popular with the ladies .. and he has a absolute taste for clever, high-strung and extremely fit bitches. All of them have a good humour in common. Here Didi is visiting our home in the Netherlands and is awaiting cookies in front of the refrigerator (explaining the dark blue background with stars...) |

Here's another picture of Primus (see the story above), now with his new friend Ciney, still a kitten on this picture, taken by Hans Kroneman with his new digital camera. Last we heard is that these cats rule the house .. there in the Ardennes.

He does this every now and then, purely to amuse us all .. and it works everytime ! He walks over to the balcony door, turns just before it but already behind the curtain, then sticks his head under it so he looks like Whoopy Goldberg in the Sister Act and starts smiling at everyone in the room. |
